STANFORD, Calif. - Junior midfielder Kelsey Twist of the Stanford University women's lacrosse team was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week for her performance during the week of March 29th-April 4th.
Twist helped the Cardinal to a 15-12 overtime win over rival Cal in Stanford's lone game last week. Twist turned in an all-around performance in the Cardinal's win over the Bears, scoring four goals and adding an assist, while also registering six draw controls, three caused turnovers and two groundballs.
The Baltimore, MD native currently ranks third on the team in points with 16 goals and 10 assists. For her career, Twist is Stanford's all-time leader in assists with 50 and ranks tied for fourth on the career goals scored list with 95.
Twist is the second Stanford player to earn MPSF Player of the Week honors this season. Senior Abbi Hills earned that distinction last week after guiding the Cardinal to a 3-0 week and clinching the MPSF Championship top seed.
