Cascade Locks, Oregon - With eight of eighteen races completed, the Cardinal Women's Sailing Team finds itself in striking distance for its first Women's National title in program history. Friday, May 28 will be the last day of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association's North American Championship, hosted by the Northwest College Sailing Association at Cascade Locks, Oregon. Ten races are scheduled today complete a full round- robin of 18 races.
"Our women have sailed exceptionally well all season," said Head Coach Jay Kehoe. "Our strength and depth contribute to this strong performance. We are adept at changing gears for the conditions, which had been important in the changing breeze conditions."
Sailing for Stanford in A Division; Skipper Jen Porter and crews Anna Vu (light air) and Liz Shearer (heavy air). In B-Division; Skipper Liz Rountree and crew Julie Pitts (light air) and Margia Corner (heavy air).
