Westlake Village, Calif. - The Stanford men's golf team shot rounds of 294 and 298 at the 27th annual Cleveland Golf Collegiate Classic held at North Ranch Country Club and are currently in 12th place overall.
The second round was suspended due to darkness. Teams that did not complete that round will finish it on Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m., with round three beginning at 8:30 a.m.
With scoring for the second round still incomplete, USC led second-place Texas by four strokes and third-place BYU by six strokes. TCU was fourth and Alabama fifth.
The Cardinal is led by Zack Miller who is tied for 24th after shooting rounds of 72 and 73 (145). Teammate Kyle Gentry is tied for 37th with a 147 (69-78) while Cardinal Brandon Lawson checks in tied for 41st with a 148 (76-72). Senior Blake Mastalir is tied for 80th (80-76--156) and Kevin Blue is tied for 85th (77-81--158).
Matthew Rosenfeld of Texas sits atop the leader board after shooting 7 under, but USC senior Scott Oxandaboure is right on his heels at 4 under, along with Peter Tomasulo of California. Lars Brovold of Alabama, Brad Simpson of Oregon State and Adam Meyer of TCU are tied for fourth at 2 under.
