Redwood Shores, CA - In near perfect racing conditions the Stanford Lightweight varsity eight beat The Cal Lightweights by 19 seconds. In the novice race, the tables were turned, and the Cal Novice Lightweights finished 18 seconds ahead of the Cardinal.
One hour after racing Cal, the Stanford Varsity Lights took on the St. Mary's Gales. After trailing by up to a full length in the first thousand meters of the race, Stanford made a big push in the second thousand and ended up finishing ahead by four seconds.
Next up for the Cardinal Lights is a dual race with the Cal novice openweights at RedwoodShores on Saturday, May 1st.
