TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Ike Diogu scored 20 of his career-high 39 points in thesecond half as Arizona State rallied to beat Stanford 74-67 Thursday night.
Diogu added 11 rebounds for his 12th double-double for the Sun Devils (16-6overall, 5-5 Pac-10), who have won three of four and swept the Cardinal for thefirst time since the 1993-94 season.
Stanford (12-8, 6-4) had won 13 straight against Arizona State before theSun Devils' 81-69 road win on Jan. 6.
Diogu was 16-for-26 from the floor, setting career highs in field goals madeand attempted en route to his ninth career 30-point game.
The rest of the Sun Devils shot 8-for-28 from the field.
Nick Robinson scored 17 and Matt Haryasz and Chris Hernandez added 12 eachto lead Stanford, which saw its six-game winning streak snapped.
The Cardinal ran out to a 13-4 lead eight minutes into the game before Diogubrought his team back.
Diogu scored nine consecutive points, including a 3-pointer that pulledArizona State within 23-22, then added a long jump shot after a Kevin Kruger3-pointer to give the Sun Devils a 27-23 lead with 3:31 left in the first half.
Ahead 27-25 at halftime, Arizona State opened the second half with a 13-4run for a 39-29 lead with 15:50 to play.
Robinson scored five points to key an 8-0 Cardinal run and close the gap to39-37. But Diogu scored consecutive baskets and Kruger added his second3-pointer to put the Sun Devils ahead 46-39 with 11:23 to go.
Stanford made one last run in the final minutes, closing to 59-57 on a RobLittle free throw with 2:32 remaining. But Diogu sank a pair of free throws andadded a turnaround 16-foot jumper as Arizona State took a 63-57 lead with 1:28left.
