The 111th meeting (men) between Stanford and California in the Big Meet is slated for Saturday, April 23, at Cobb Track & Angell Field ... Stanford will face California in the 16th Big Meet for women ... The field events start at 12:50 p.m. with the women's javelin and the running events start at 2:00 p.m. with the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase ... The meet will conclude with the men's 1,600 meter relay at 5:30 p.m. ... California men's team leads the series against Stanford, 64-44-2, but the Cardinal has won three of the last four meetings ... The three Stanford wins included a 93-70 verdict over the Golden Bears at Cobb Track & Angell Field in 2003 ... The Stanford women hold a 15-10 lead in the series against California ... Stanford has won the last four Big Meets, and seven of the last eight ... Last year in Berkeley, Stanford scored a 108-55 victory ... Michael Robertson and Sara Bei have been named Pac-10 Track & Field Athletes of the Week ... Robertson set the school record five times in the discus at last weekend's Pomona-Pitzer Invitational and at the Mt. SAC Relays ... At the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, Robertson set the school record with a throw of 199-10 (60.19m) which beat the old mark of 198-7 (60.53m) by Omer Inan in 2002 ... Two days later at the Mt. SAC Relays, Robertson set another school record in the discus with a throw of 202-5 (61.70m) ... Robertson's 202-5 (61.70m) is best in the Pac-10 this year ... Robertson is a transfer from SMU where he finished third at the NCAA's last year ... Bei ran the fastest collegiate time in the 5,000 meters at the Mt. SAC relays ... Bei ran the distance in 15:51.47 which is the fastest collegiate time in the nation this year ... Bei was the runnerup in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA's last year ... Ian Dobson's time of 13:27.45 in the 5,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays is the best collegiate time in the nation this year and third-best in school history.
