Stanford captures its 14th national title in the 24-year history of the NCAA Tennis Championship. It was the Cardinal's 19th appearance in the Championship Match.The Cardinal recorded its ninth perfect season, including the third undefeated campaign in Lele Forood's five years at Stanford.Lele Forood is 29-1 in NCAA postseason play with 4 titles and one runner-up finish. Her overall record at the helm of the Cardinal is 138-3.Stanford has won 197 of its last 203 matches over the past seven years. Stanford has won 56-straight matches with two consecutive perfect seasons (29-0 in 2004, 27-0 in 2005). The school record for consecutive victories stands at 76-straight matches from 1988-91.Texas, the No. 11 seed, is the highest seed to reach the NCAA final since the NCAA field expanded to 64 teams in 1999.The shutout was Stanford's 12th of the year.The Cardinal won its six NCAA matches by a combined score of 24-3.Erin Burdette, a native of Jackson, Ga., clinched the title for Stanford at No. 3 singles for the second straight year.Match Time: 2:20.
