STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Kellen Clemens threw for 393 yards and three touchdowns, and Oregon beat Stanford 44-20 Saturday to get coach Mike Bellotti his 50th Pac-10 win.
Clemens, who played less than three quarters, became the fourth Oregon quarterback to surpass 7,000 total offensive yards for his career as the Ducks (4-1, 1-1) rebounded from last week's loss to top-ranked Southern Cal.
Trent Edwards, under constant pressure, threw for 156 yards and a touchdown for Stanford (1-2, 0-1).
Clemens completed 22 of 29 passes in recording his second-best individual effort - he threw for 437 yards against Washington State last year - and moved into fourth on the school's all-time list for total offense. His 7,114 yards are just behind Joey Harrington's 7,121.
Clemens, with 6,665 yards passing, is 16 yards shy of Chris Miller for fourth all-time.
Demetrius Williams failed to catch a touchdown pass for the first time in six games but the Ducks senior receiver have six receptions for 168 yards. He became Oregon's all-time leader with nine 100-yard receiving games.
Justin Phinisee returned an interception 86 yards for the Ducks. It's Oregon's seventh-longest interception return, and the longest without scoring a touchdown.
Clemens was intercepted for the first time all season, ending a streak of 162 consecutive passes without an interception dating to last year. It was the second-longest streak in school history, behind only his own run of 178 passes set last year.
The Ducks played without senior running back Terrence Whitehead, who rushed for more than 100 yards in each of his three previous games against the Cardinal. Freshman running back Jonathan Stewart scored his first three career offensive touchdowns helping to replace Whitehead. He returned a kickoff for a score earlier in the season.
Stanford failed to score an offensive touchdown in the second half for the second straight game, and the Cardinal offense appeared confused by the Ducks. Oregon limited the Cardinal to a mere 15 yards in the second half.
Stewart scored twice on 1-yard runs in the third quarter and Jeremiah Johnson scored his first career touchdown on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter. Paul Martinez added a 44-yard field goal.
Jon Alston blocked Aaron Knowles' punt at the Oregon goal line and fell on the loose ball for a touchdown with less than 4 minutes to play for Stanford.
