Stanford won for the second straight season at Washington State and has now beaten the Cougars the last three times the teams have met in Pullman (the last time the home team has won a game in the series was a 54-17 Stanford win at Stanford Stadium on September 11, 1999) ... Stanford has actually won five of its last six games against Washington State in Pullman and 11 of its last 13.

Stanford won its second straight road game, marking the first time the Cardinal has won two straight road games since winning at Arizona State (November 13, 1999) and Washington State (September 2, 2000).

Trent Edwards finished with a season-high 257 yards passing (8th career 200-yard game), completing 19-of-28 passes for a career-high-tying three TD's ... Edwards also rushed for a career-high 92 yards on 12 carries

Trent Edwards moved past the 3000-yard career passing mark and now has 3126.

Gerren Crochet set new career-highs for both catches (five) and receiving yards (60).

Mark Bradford had a career-best two touchdown receptions.

Anthony Kimble finished with a career-high 77 yards rushing.

Mike Silva had a career-best nine tackles, while Jon Alston had a season-high eight.

Stanford committed a season-high eight penalties for 70 yards ... The Cardinal came into the game as the least-penalized team in the Pac-10

Stanford finished with a season-best 475 total yards with season-highs in both rushing (218) and passing (257) yardage ... The Cardinal also had a season-best 27 first downs.

Stanford won the time of possession for the first time this season, holding onto the ball for 37:06, compared to just 22:54 for Washington State.

Allen Smith made his first collegiate start at left tackle.

Michael Sgroi made his 38th career field goal at Stanford to move within one of Ken Naber (39, 1977-80) for fifth-place on Stanford's career field goal list ... Sgroi also made all three of his PAT attempts to increase his career total to 78 and move into sole possession of sixth-place on that all-time school list ... In addition, Sgroi put all five of his kickoffs into or out of the end zone, preventing the Cougars from returning any of them.

Jay Ottovegio put four of his five punt attempts inside the 20-yard-line.

J.R. Lemon, who participated in a game for the first time this season, went over the 1000-yard career rushing mark and now has 1002 all-time rushing yards at Stanford.
