"In order to have championship-type games, you have to match up physically. Today, offensively, we did not match up physically. We got beat up front, they were more physical, and that was the game. We have trouble protecting the passer and running, and that sealed our fate."

"I'm really proud of [quarterback] Steve [Levy] to be able to come in and get prepared in one week. He was very efficient, made some nice throws, ran the huddle very well. I am very proud of the way he prepared and came in and play a solid game. I didn't know how Levy would be able to handle the huddle because he's pretty new in there, but he did a really nice job. Steve pulled the ball down and made some big plays running the football all night."
"Four straight [Big Game wins] feels great. I'm really proud of our team, of our seniors to be able to maintain "the Axe", that's huge. There is a lot of expectation on this team, and we've had some letdowns the last couple weeks. I'm real proud of our seniors to be able to get "the Axe" one more time."

"We knew we were going to take some shots down the field. I didn't know we were going to do it that early, but it set the tempo for the game."
"The defense of the Cardinal played great. They're a good football team and hopefully they're going to get a win against Notre Dame and become bowl eligible.
"I've been waiting for my opportunity, and I finally got my opportunity and hopefully by now I proved some people wrong. I wasn't really nervous. I always feel cool and collected, and I think that is an attribute for winning quarterbacks. It's the Big Game, and it can't get any better than this. Legends have played on this field, and I feel truly honored to share the same field as so many legends."
