Los Angeles, CA - Stanford fell to top-seed USC Sunday, in the MPSF first-place match at USC's McDonald Swim Stadium, 8-5. The Trojans came back strong with the two remaining goals of the first period, and held the lead for the remainder of the game.

The Trojans held off Stanford in the second, scoring the only two goals of the quarter before the two teams went 1-1 in the third period. The Cardinal made a strong attempt in the last quarter, scoring three goals, including one in the first minute of the fourth period. But USC retaliated with three goals of their own to end the match, 8-5.
