Berkeley, Calif. - Stanford fell to Radford, 3-0, in the third place NorPac Tournament game today to conclude the season. Cortney Brown, Stephanie McLamb and Allison Lussier scored one goal each for the Highlanders.
Brown put the first goal on the board for Radford late in the first half, scoring during a penalty corner at 33:47. Meredith Evans assisted on the goal.
In the second half, McLamb scored again for the Highlanders at 50:51, assisted by Kiera Gambeski and Tiffany Church. Lussier scored Radford's final goal in the 57th minute, assisted by Church.
The Cardinal out shot the Highlanders, 12-8, including nine shots in the second half. Jr. Aska Sturdevan led the squad with three shots. Liz Robinson, Jess Zutz and Missy Halliday also tallied a pair of shots for Stanford. Brown led the Highlanders with four shots.
Stanford and Radford each earned five penalty corners, with the Highlanders scoring on one corner in the first half.
So. Madison Bell collected four saves in the goal during the first half, bringing her season total to 58 saves. Amy Dietz and Stacy Saunders split time in the goal for Radford, nabbing two saves each.
California and Pacific will face off in the NorPac Conference Tournament championship game today at 12:30 pm on Maxwell Family Field in Berkeley.
