Santa Barbara, Calif. - The UCLA Bruins handed Stanford men's volleyball their first loss of the season, with a 30-14, 30-24, 30-22 win in a first round match at the UCSB Elephant Bar Tournament.
Senior Ben Reddy led the way for the Cardinal with 19 kills and 2 service aces. Senior Jeremy Jacobs notched 20 assists, while freshman Miki Groppi added 14 assists. Senior Chris Ahlfeldt and junior Brian Lindberg also had strong performances, with 9 kills and 7 digs, respectively. Freshman Sean O'Malley's 11 kills led UCLA.
The Cardinal will compete tonight at 7:00 PM against the loser of the 1:00 PM match between UCSB and UC Irvine.
