Oklahoma City, Okla. - Cassidy Krug finished third in the 1-meter competition on the first day of the NCAA Zone E Championships on Thursday at Oklahoma Community College. Krug scored 594.00 points, finishing behind only USC's Blythe Hartley (670.10) and Hawaii's QiongJie Huang (605.90) in the 44-diver field.
Stanford's other two divers in the event - Sarah Ohr and Katie Lampe - also reached the finals round of 18 divers. Ohr ended up 11th (495.10), while Lampe was 12th (477.10).
The three-day events continues Friday with the 3-meter event before concluding Saturday with the platform. The top 11 divers will advance to the NCAA Championships to be held March 18-20 in Athens, Georgia.
