Cardinal Drops Match to Pacific 3-1

Santa Barbara, Calif. - The Stanford men's volleyball team falls to 1-3 on the year as they drop their final match to Pacific at the UCSB Elephant Bar Tournament. After losing the first game by a score of 30-27, the Cardinal battled back to take the second game by posting a team hitting percentage of .448 in that game. The Cardinal were not able to hold on, as Pacific sealed the match with victories in the third and fourth games.

Stanford was again led by senior Ben Reddy who had 15 kills for the match. Freshman setter Miki Groppi notched 40 assists and 10 digs for the match. Sophomore Matt Ceran had four block assists in the match. Pacific was led by junior outside hitter Andreas Baboulidis, who notched 21 kills for the match.

The Cardinal will again be on the road next weekend as they head to Southern California to battle Pepperdine and USC. The Pepperdine match will begin at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 13th, and the USC match will be played at 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 14th.
