Sammamish, Wash. - The Stanford Women's Golf Team pulled into the lead at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational after the completion of the second round today. The Cardinal shot a 297 (303-297--600) today to move past second-place New Mexico (301-300--601) and third-place Arizona State (299-306--605).
Sophomore Mari Chun continues to lead through two rounds after posting a 72 today (68-72--140). New Mexico's Jodi Ewart moved up to second place after shooting a 75 (71-75--146), followed by teammate Py Bengtsson (72-75--147) and USC's Paola Moreno (76-71--147) in a tie for third place.
Stanford senior Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana jumped into a tie for fifth place today after firing a 72 (76-72--148), with fellow senior Lauren Todd improving to 20th with a second-round score of 76 (78-76--154). Freshman Catherina Wang sits in a tie for 39th after shooting a 77 today (81-77--158), followed by sophomore Ki-Shui Liao in 65th with a second-round score of 85 (81-85--166).
The Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational concludes with a third round tomorrow beginning at 8:00 am. Live scoring for the event is available at golfstat.com.
