Los Angeles, Ca - The fifth-ranked Stanford men's water polo team finished the first day (Saturday) with a 1-1 record at the Southern California Tournament at USC.
The Cardinal opened the day with a 10-7 victory over 14th-ranked Long Beach State. Freshman Drac Wigo scored three goals to lead the Cardinal attack. Will Hindle-Katel and Tyler Drake each added a pair of goals. A little later in the day, third-ranked UCLA scored its third victory of the year over the Cardinal with a 9-6 victory. Janson Wigo and Tyler Drake each scored two goals for the Cardinal.
The Cardinal will continue play on Sunday at 8:40 a.m. at the Coliseum Pool against 13th-ranked Pepperdine.
