Stanford, Ca - Sophomore Jason Dunford scored a victory in the 500 free and swam the third leg on the winning 200 medley relay team to help lead the second-ranked Stanford men's swimming and diving team to a 127-62 victory over Cal State Bakersfield in a dual meet on Friday at the Avery Aquatic Center.
The day started with Dunford helping the 200 medley relay to victory with a time of 1:33.90. In the next event, Dunford swam to victory in the 500 free in a time of 4:44.90. Stanford went 1-2-3 in the event.
Nine swimming events were contested with Stanford winning seven times. In each of those seven victories, the Cardinal finished 1-2-3.
Stanford returns home on November 8 to face sixth-ranked California. The meet will start at 2 p.m.
