Stanford Gymnast David Sender Places Second At Winter Cup Challenge

Stanford gymnast David Sender took second place in the all-around final at the 2007 Winter Cup Challenge on Saturday. He posted a combined two-day score of 176.950, while Sean Townsend of Dickinson, Texas won the competition with a total score of 177.150.

Bryant Hadden placed 11 for Stanford in the all-around final with a two-day total of 168.00. Dylan Carney finished in 34 place with a two-day score of 87.90.

Sender turned in an outstanding vault, earning first place with a 32.80. Carney once again showed his high bar excellence, placing second with a score of 29.80. Hadden finished tied for sixth with Sender on the still rings with a score of 29.70.
