STANFORD, Calif.- Stanford shot an 11-over-par 299 on the final day of competition at the Mason Rudolph Championship on Sunday afternoon in Franklin, Tenn., resulting in a 12th place finish in the first tournament of the year.
The Cardinal finished with a 30-over-par, three-round total of 894 (293-302-299) in a loaded field that featured the top nine teams in the country according to GolfWeek.
UCLA claimed the tournament title with a record-setting, 13-under-par total of 851 (281-283-287). Arizona State came in second at 865 (280-293-292) while Duke finished third at 866 (284-292-290). Rounding out the top five was Oklahoma State in fourth at 871 (292-292-287) and Florida in fifth at 876 (285-299-292).
Stanford was led by senior Mari Chun, who finished in a tie for 20th with a 3-over-par 219 (73-70-76).
Freshman Piper Miller took 54th in her first collegiate tournament after carding an 11-over-par 227 (77-77-73) while sophomore Catherina Wang wrapped up her weekend in 57th place with a 12-over-par 228 (74-76-78).
Freshman Rebecca Durham, who led the Cardinal after the opening day of competition, finished with a 13-over-par 229 (69-88-72). Senior Saana Rapakko placed 84th with a 24-over-par 240 (77-79-84).
Playing as an individual, junior Ki-Shui Liao finished 76th overall with a 17-over-par 233 (78-80-75).
Duke's Amanda Blumenhurst captured the tournament title, with a 13-under-par 203 (66-68-69), edging out Arizona State's Anna Nordqvist at 207 (68-68-71).
Stanford is back in action on Monday, Sept. 24, when it competes in the NCAA Preview at Albuquerque, N.M.
