BERKELEY, Calif. - The third-seeded Stanford Cardinal got out to an early lead and made it stick Friday, defeating the sixth-seeded Pepperdine Waves 7-4 in an MPSF Tournament opening-round contest at Spieker Aquatics Complex in Berkeley. The win extends Stanford's current streak to eight games.
