FOOTBALL POST-GAME QUOTES
Notre Dame 21, at Stanford 14 (Stanford, CA - Stanford Stadium)
November 24, 2007

STANFORD
WIDE RECEIVER EVAN MOORE
On Stanford's Final Drive
"We had a chance to tie the game at the end, and we just didn't do it. We had a great opportunity to tie the game and T.C. [Ostrander] threw a great ball to me, and I just dropped it. This is disappointing, but it is not like we haven't done this before. We have to bounce back and be ready for next week. We have been through this before, and we just need to bounce back and be ready to play against California."

On Not Continuing Early Season Momentum
"I don't really know what it is specifically, but we have just been inconsistent all season-long on offense and on my part. The defense gave us a chance today. It felt like Notre Dame was saying here we go, try and win, but we couldn't put a nice run at it and finish everything off."

QUARTERBACK T.C. OSTRANDER
On The Game
"It is the same story every week, we are just killing ourselves. There were missed opportunities, whether it is a dropped ball or a missed throw. It is inexcusable at this time in the season, and that is why it is so frustrating."

LINEBACKER CLINTON SNYDER
On The Stanford Defense
"I felt like we played hard, but we gave up a couple of big plays throughout the game, and we just can't do that. We gave up the big screen at the end of the first half, and the big run there at the end of the game, which set them up for that touchdown, which we can't do at that point in the game."

On The December 1 Season Finale Versus California
"We need to learn to click on both sides of the ball. We haven't been doing that and that is what we need to do in order to be successful."

NOTRE DAME
HEAD COACH CHARLIE WEIS
On Who He Looked At When The Game Ended
"I was looking at the fifth years ... when you have the opportunity to leave with your degree and you come back and the year doesn't go very well. I was just happy for them that they could walk out of here with a win. "

On The Young Players
"All along we knew we were playing with some talented young guys. And that there was going to be a growing process that takes place. There are some growing pains that take place when you're doing it, but you know this game prepares us for next year."

On Instant Replay
"I've never seen a game with that many reversals. I want to see the [David] Grimes catch again. I don't know about the other ones, but that's the one I want to see. He said he had the ball underneath his hands. And I trust him."

RECEIVER DAVID GRIMES
On His Catch That Was Originally Ruled A TD But Overturned By Replay
"I thought I had [the catch]. The refs didn't. I was running, and I was like `I got to turn it up.' I knew I couldn't just run under it so I just dove, and it wound up in my hand. I knew I had it."

On Next Year
"I think to finish the season 2-0 feels great. I think these two wins will help set us up [and] get us some momentum for next season."
