Stanford Completes Arizona Wildcat Invitational In Tie For Ninth

Stanford completed the final day of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational on Wednesday to finish in a tie for ninth place with a three-day total of 65-over-par 917. The Cardinal played well in the final round, shooting a 16-over-par 300 for their best round of the tournament.

Oklahoma State hung onto their second round lead to take first place in the tournament. The Cowgirls finished at 32-over-par 884 for the three days for a two stroke advantage over USC and Duke. The Trojans compiled the low round of the day on Wednesday; a 6-over-par 290 to mount a charge towards the lead. However, they would have to settle for a tie for second with the Blue Devils. Both USC and Duke finished the tournament at 34-over-par 886. Rounding out the top-5 were Arizona at 47-over-par 899 and Arizona State at 49-over-par 901.

led the Cardinal with a 2-over-par 73 on Wednesday. Chun's three-day total of 6-over-par 219 was good for fourth place. The fourth place finish was the best of the season for Chun and her third top-10 finish of the year for the junior.

Freshman had her second consecutive low score, shooting a 2-over-par 73 to tie Chun for the low score of the day for the Cardinal. Durham's three-day total of 14-over-par 227 was good for a tie for 24th, the best finish of her young career.

Junior finished 51st overall for the Cardinal with three-day total of 21-over-par 234. King shot a 7-over-par 78 on the day after settling down and playing well after a triple-bogey on her first hole.

Freshman shot a 5-over-par 76 on Wednesday to finish with a three-day score of 24-over-par 237. The total gave Miller a tie for 58th for the tournament.

Rounding out the Cardinal squad was sophomore who shot a 7-over-par 78 on Wednesday. Her three-day total of 33-over-par 246 left her in a tie for 73rd.

Stanford will now have more than a month without a competition before they return to Arizona to compete in the Ping Arizona State Invitational in Tempe on April 4-6.
