Stanford Finishes 8th At NCAA Fencing Championships

The Stanford fencing team completed a successful NCAA Fencing Championships from Columbus, Ohio by finishing in eighth place. Ohio State won the co-ed competition with 185 points, while the Cardinal had 68 for their eighth place finish.

Stanford was led by two All-Americans, Eva Jellison in women's sabre and Clayton Kenney in men's epee. Jellison finished ninth after going 15-8 to earn her third consecutive All-America honor. Kenney finished 11th in men's epee to earn his first All-America recognition.

Stanford also had good results from Lucas Janson in the men's sabre with a 15th place finish and Phil Arredondo and Max Murphy in the men's foil with 15th and 19th place finishes, respectively.

Sarah Parker was the other Cardinal woman to compete and finished 15th in the women's sabre.

This concludes another successful season for the Cardinal. It was the program's best national finish since the 2005-06 season.
