STANFORD, Calif. - The 2008 National Collegiate Men's Gymnastics Championships selections were announced today in Indianapolis by the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Committee. Twelve teams were named to this year's event and will be competing in the qualifying sessions on Thursday, April 17 for a spot in the team finals on Friday, April 18. Individual event finals will be held on Saturday, April 19.

Top-ranked Stanford earned the highest qualifying score of 358.930. Following them was fellow Mountain Pacific Sports Federation school Oklahoma, who registered a qualifying score of 358.740. In all, four of the five MPSF members qualified, along with six Big Ten teams, and two Eastern College Athletic Conference squads.

Three teams and the top three all-around competitors not on one of the qualifying teams, plus the top three individuals on each event not already qualified on a team or as an all-around competitor, will advance from each qualifying session to the finals session.
