Round 3 Tee Times and Pairings
Stanford, Calif. - With solid second round, Stanford moved up to fifth at the Pac-10 Championships at the Stanford Golf Course. The Cardinal fired a round of 10-over-par 294 to move past California into fifth place.
Arizona State shot the round of the tournament so far to move into the lead with a total of 6-over-par 574. The Sun Devils played their second round in 3-under-par to move past UCLA and USC. The Bruins dropped to second place at 11-over-par, while USC remained in third at 15-over-par.
Arizona remained in fourth place with a total score of 26-over-par 594, to lead Stanford by two strokes. The Wildcats will play with the Cardinal, along with Washington State who is currently tied for sixth with Cal, seven strokes behind Stanford.
Four golfers are currently tied for the overall lead, including three players from Arizona State. The Sun Devil trio of Azahara Munoz, Jennifer Osborn and Carlota Ciganda are joined by Jennifer Song of USC at 1-under-par 141. Munoz fired the low round of the day with a round of 3-under-par 68.
Leading Stanford is Mari Chun who is alone in seventh place, just three strokes off the lead. Chun shot a second consecutive 1-over-par 72 for a two day total of 2-over-par 144. She matched four others with four birdies on Saturday for the most of the day.
Supporting Chun were a trio of Stanford golfers that shot rounds of 3-over-par 74. Rebecca Durham continued her strong tournament as she moved into a tie for 19th with a two day total of 7-over-par 149. Also playing well were Lila Barton who moved into a tie for 26th with a two day total of 9-over-par 151 and Angela King who is tied for 28th with a total of 10-ver-par 152.
Each of Durham, Barton and King made just one birdie, but stayed out of trouble to complete their rounds close to par.
Sydney Burlison rounded out the Stanford squad with a round of 7-over-par 78 and is tied for 39th at 17-over-par.
The Cardinal will again be a part of the first group to tee off from hole #1 on Sunday for the final round of the Pac-10 Championships. The Cardinal will play with Arizona and Washington State beginning at 7:30 am.
