Stanford, Calif. - Stanford volleyball was represented at Team-Up for Girls Day at AT&T Park last Saturday, an event to honor Bay Area women athletes and encourage young girls to pursue their goals.
Two-time All-American Alix Klineman and former Cardinal volleyball player Sara Dukes were part of a pregame panel discussion, while Cardinal women's lacrosse head coach Amy Bokker and Women's Professional Soccer Commissioner Tonya Antonucci were special guests. The Stanford women's volleyball team attended the panel and signed autographs. The team was introduced on the field, and stood behind LPGA Haller of Famer Juli Inkster when she threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The event was sponsored by the San Francisco Giants, the Bay Area Women's Sports Initiative (BAWSI) and Team-Up for Youth.
