Columbus, Ohio - On day two of the NCAA Central Regional Championships from the Scarlet Golf Course, the Cardinal moved up to 13th place. Stanford finished with a round of 16-over-par 310 for a two-day total of 38-over-par 614. The Cardinal sit 12 strokes out of eight place, the threshold to advance to the NCAA Championships in two weeks.

UCLA continues to lead the tournament after firing a round of 2-over-par 290 for a two-day total of 574. Purdue moved up to second with a round of the day at 1-over-par 289 to sit 10 strokes back of the Bruins. Oklahoma State is third, five strokes back of Purdue.

Eighth place currently belongs to Tennessee Chattanooga with a score of 26-over-par. They represent the current cutoff for teams that will advance to the NCAA Championships.

Stanford freshman Sydney Burlison shot the round of the tournament so far for the Cardinal with a 1-over-par 73. Burlison moved up to a tie for 16th with a two-day total of 5-over-par 149. Burlison remains very much in the hunt for an individual berth to the NCAA Championships if the Cardinal fail to qualify as a team.

Also playing well thus far for Stanford have been Rebecca Durham and Lila Barton. Durham sits in a tie for 44th after a round of 5-over-par 77 for a two-day total of 9-over-par 153. Barton completed a solid round of 4-over-par 76 on Friday to sit in a tie for 53rd with a two day total of 10-over-par 154.

The tie for 91st at 18-over-par 162, includes both Mari Chun and Angela King. Chun fought back after a disappointing first round with a 78 on Saturday. King finished with a round of 82, 10-over on the day.

The Cardinal will complete the NCAA West Regional on Saturday with much on the line. Stanford will need a big day to climb up the leaderboard and give themselves a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
