Singles and Doubles Draws | Preseason ITA Rankings

STANFORD, Calif.- Stanford was well-repesented on the opening day of competition at the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northwest Championships, with six entrants advancing to the round of 32 in the singles draw.

Stanford has five seeded players still alive in the singles draw: junior Hilary Barte (No. 2), senior Lindsay Burdette (No. 10), junior Carolyn McVeigh (13), freshman Mallory Burdette (No. 14) and freshman Stacy Tan (No. 15).

Unseeded sophomore Veronica Li also advanced to Saturday's action, thanks to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Cal Poly's Steffi Wong in the round of 64.

In doubles, four Cardinal teams have reached the round of 16, led by the tounament's No. 2 seed of Barte and Lindsay Burdette.
