BERKELEY, Calif.- Richard Wire and Bradley Klahn will clash in a semifinal matchup on Monday afternoon at the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championships in Berkeley.

Wire and Klahn posted quarterfinal wins on Sunday in order to reach the semifinals. Wire downed Pacific's Artem Gramma 6-1, 6-3 after surviving a 7-5, 6-7 (7), 7-5 marathon over Fresno State's Rikus DeVilliers in the round of 16. Klahn made quick work of California's Nick Andrews (6-4, 6-0) in the round of 16 and Sacramento State's Kiryl Harbatsiuk (6-2, 6-2) in the quarters.

Greg Hirshman was bidding for a semifinal spot as well, but dropped a 6-1, 7-6 (7) decision to California's Pedro Zerbini in the quarterfinals.

Ryan Thacher and Matt Kandath were ousted in the round of 16.

Meanwhile in doubles, Stanford's top team and the tournament's No. 1 seed of Klahn and Thacher cruised into the quarterfinals with an 8-6 triumph over San Francisco's team of Asaf Cohen and Thai Tu.
