NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Sophomore Bradley Klahn defeated Binghamton's Sevn Vloedgraven 6-2, 6-3 in the opening round of the ITA National Indoor Championships on Thursday afternoon.
The tournament's No. 7 seed, Klahn now faces Wisconsin's Moritz Baumann on Friday at 9 a.m. PT.
Klahn also advanced on the doubles side, joining sophomore Ryan Thacher in an 8-6 victory over the Illinois duo of Marek Czerwinski and Dennis Nevolo.
The No. 3 seed in the doubles draw, Klahn and Thacher will battle Auburn's Tim Puetz and Alex Stamchev on Friday at 6 a.m. PT.
