NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The sophomore duo of Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher captured the doubles title at the ITA National Indoor Championships on Sunday morning.
The No. 3-seeded doubles team in the draw, Klahn and Thacher outlasted Duke's Reid Carleton and Henrique Cunha 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 in the championship match.
It was the second career doubles crown for the Cardinal duo, which also captured the title at last year's Pac-10 Championships.
Also in action this weekend for Stanford was freshman Matt Kandath, entered as a participant at the Gael Classic, hosted by Saint Mary's. The No. 4 seed in the singles draw, Kandath dropped his first round match 6-4, 0-6, 7-5 to Andrea Zannoni of Saint Mary's. Kandath then withdrew from his scheduled consolation match against Cal Poly's Rob Foy.
