STANFORD, Calif. - Hello SWG fans!!

I have to say that it is nice to be back at school, though the first week of classes at the beginning of every quarter always seems to pose a little bit of a challenge. Establishing a rhythm can be difficult, especially after being able to enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation over spring break. We even had the privilege of lying out in the sun for a couple of days, but unfortunately we are now back to the rainy weather that we've all come too accustomed to.

SWG came back from Arizona with a passion and fire, stemming from knowing how good we are and how much room we still have to grow, that has been really inspiring. We had a strong week of practices this week, at all times of the day (and night), that helped to show us our character and what we are made of. We are really beginning to have confidence and pride in our work, and it really shows. On Saturday, we had what was probably the best game day that we've put together all year, hitting every single routine and using our momentum in the best way possible. It was great to start on floor, where the team really set the tone, only to turn around and stick four vaults in the next rotation. Shout out to Ashley Morgan, sticking a vault with a blind landing. After taking a break (downtime in the locker room...we were practicing our bye rotation) we came back out and finished the job on bars and beam, something that we have struggled with a little bit this year. I think that the team is settling into a great groove as we get ready to head to West Virginia for Regionals. It should be an amazing trip and we are all excited to let our great work shine through.

I hope that everyone had a very Happy Easter (or in my case, and probably some others as well, Passover)! Check in next week to read about our trip to the other coast and the results of the regional competition.
