Women in Sixth After Day One at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. / Wakefield, RI – The Stanford women are in sixth place at the Navy Fall Women's Championship, while over at the Moody Trophy in Rhode Island the Cardinal are in 16th place after the first of two days of racing.

The A Division skippered by two-time PCC Sailor of the Week, Sally Mace and her crew member, Katie Riklin have 55 points of the 219 points, the fourth-best divisional score of the 20 teams over the first 10 races. Molly McKinney in the laser has 63 points, also the fourth-best score in the C Division. The B Division team has 101 points, the 14th-best divisional score.

Over in Rhode Island, the Cardinal have tallied 170 points, with 77 points coming from the A Division and Oliver Toole and 93 points from the B Division and skipper Eliza Richartz. The Cardinal are among the 18 teams competing, having sailed eight races so far.

The regattas continue on Sunday.
