STANFORD, Calif.- Just as Jeremy Green was catching fire with his shooting touch, he caught a bad break with his ankle.

Green scored 11 of his 15 points in the second half before leaving with an injury, helping Stanford beat Yale 60-44 Tuesday night.

Josh Owens added 12 points for the Cardinal (7-4), which improved to 6-0 at home and 7-0 all-time against the Bulldogs.

Austin Morgan scored 15 points to lead Yale (5-6). Jeremiah Kreisberg added 11 points. Greg Mangano had a game-high nine rebounds, but the Bulldogs' leading scorer missed all eight of his shots and was held scoreless for the first time since 2009.

"We subbed out on defense and had some difficulty identifying Green, who was able to make some shots," Yale head coach James Jones said. "We also had a stretch there in which it was very difficult for us to put the ball into the basket. We got our starters back in, and they didn't pick up the slack."

Green left the game with just under six minutes to play after connecting on his third straight 3-pointer. He injured his left ankle and remained on the floor for a couple of minutes before limping off.

Stanford used a 12-0 run during an eight-minute stretch to pull away from Yale, which held a 37-36 lead with 13:25 left to play. The Bulldogs didn't score again until 5:28 remained.

Kreisberg hit a layup with 5 seconds left in the first half to give Yale a 27-26 lead at intermission.

Morgan made all three of his 3-point attempts and all four of his foul shots to carry the Bulldogs through the first 20 minutes.

Yale played its second game in three weeks, making its longest road trip of the season. The Bulldogs, who host a game on New Year's Eve for the first time in 80 years, remain in the Eastern Time Zone the rest of the year.

Both teams shot under 40 percent in the first half. Yale never got any better, shooting 32 percent for the game while the Cardinal improved to 46 percent.
