LONG BEACH, Calif.-- Stanford Sailing dropped three spots on the second day of the Rose Bowl Regatta to finish in 11th place at the team's first meet of the New Year.
The Cardinal entered the day in eighth place among the 30 teams, as the A Division skippered by Kevin Laube struggled on day two, never finishing lower than 16th place over the four races. The B Division skippered by Sally Mace did slightly better, finishing in sixth to start the day and second to end it, but between were 25th and 15th. The Cardinal finished with 197 points, with Mace and crew Katie Ricklin accumulating 92 points.
Stanford is now on dry dock through the first of February, before beginning its spring season.
