STANFORD, Calif. - Some of the top players in collegiate golf will make up the field at the 2011 Pacific-10 Conference Men's Golf Championships, set for April 29-May 1 at Stanford Golf Course.
Teams will play 36 holes on Friday with the tee times scheduled for 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on holes No. 1 and 10. Saturday's third round will commence at 9:00 a.m. while Sunday's final round will tee off at 8:00 a.m. Teams will also play a practice round on Thursday, April 28 starting at 9:00 a.m.
Admission is free.
The field includes Arizona, Arizona State, California, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, USC, Stanford, Washington and Washington State. UCLA is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation in the Golfweek/Sagarin poll, while California (No. 18), Stanford (No. 20), USC (No. 21) and Oregon (No. 22) also hold down spots in the top-20.
Two of the top players in collegiate golf - Stanford's Andrew Yun and UCLA's Patrick Cantlay -- will also be featured in the field. Yun, who has one tournament title among his five top-5 finishes this year, is listed second in the latest Golfweek rankings. Cantlay, a freshman, is currently ranked third by Golfweek's after winning three events this season.
Washington has captured the team title each of the last two seasons. Cal senior Eric Mina is expected to be in the field to defend the individual title he won last year at the Karsten Course in Tempe, Ariz.

USC has won the most Pac-10 team titles (18), followed by Arizona State with 12. Stanford last won the Pac-10 team title in 1994, which was its seventh overall. Washington has captured the team title on six occasions, followed by UCLA (5), Arizona (3) and Oregon (2). Cal, Oregon State and Washington State have yet to win the team title.
Former Pac-10 individual champions include Dave Stockton (USC; 1963), Peter Jacobsen (Oregon; 1974), Scott Simpson (USC; 1975-76), Dan Forsman (Arizona State; 1981), Corey Pavin (UCLA; 1982), Duffy Waldorf (UCLA; 1985), Phil Mickelson (Arizona State; 1990), Jason Gore (Arizona; 1993-94), Tiger Woods (Stanford; 1996), Paul Casey (Arizona State; 1998-2000) and Ricky Barnes (Arizona; 2001).
This year marks the first time since 2001 and ninth time overall Stanford Golf Course has played host to the event. In 2001, Ricky Barnes of Arizona won the individual title with a 72 hole score of 268 (-16) after rounds of 65-66-69-68, while USC captured the team title.
Stanford Golf Course was designed in 1930 by renowned golf course architects William Bell and George C. Thomas, Jr. Located in the foothills on the west side of campus, Stanford Golf Course is consistently rated as one of the top courses in the United States.
