Cardinal Gymnasts Participate in Play Day

May 17, 2011

WOODSIDE, Calif. - One of the most important parts of the Stanford women's gymnastics experience is giving back to the community. Service is one of the foundations of the program.

With that in mind, members of the Cardinal team joined coach Kristen Smyth and others Right to Play USA's annual May Play Day at Runnymede Farm.

Right to Play USA is an international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play-based programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children living in countries affected by war, poverty, and disease.

The Woodside event was hosted by former 49er football great Ronnie Lott and his wife among others.
