STANFORD, Calif. - Head coach John Dunning has announced the return of Stanford women's volleyball player Katherine Sebastian to the 2011 sqaud.

Sebastian, a native of Pacific Palisades, Calif., played as a defensive specialist for the Cardinal in 2008 and 2009. She took last season off to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain. She will join Stephanie Browne as the only two seniors on the 2011 team.

"Katherine was great for the team in her first two seasons," said Dunning. "She made the decision to leave for academic reasons and to study abroad. We are really excited to have her join us again."

Sebastian appeared in 73 sets for the Cardinal in her first two seasons on The Farm. She tallied career highs of four digs and two service aces against Long Island in the first round of the 2009 NCAA tournament at Maples Pavilion.
