CASCADE LOCKS, Ore.-- Stanford Sailing moved up to 14th place and finished there with 157 points after two days of sailing on the Hood River, an hour outside of Portland, at the women's national championships.
All the teams had to battle strong currents, but little breeze amongst the 18 teams. Stanford teams will race twice more, in the team championship beginning on Friday and the coed championships beginning on May 27.
Sally Mace along with Katie Riklin, finished off the last three women's race in eighth, fifth and sixth to finish with 66 points. Eliza Richartz were able to race just once more, finishing 16th for 91 combined points.
