LOS ANGELES (AP) - Lazeric Jones scored 21 points and UCLA pulled away with a late 10-0 run to beat Stanford 72-61 Thursday night, extending the Cardinal's winless streak in Los Angeles.

Travis Wear added 13 points and Jerime Anderson 12 for the Bruins (14-10, 7-5 Pac-12), who improved to 11-3 at home and have won four of their last five overall.

Stanford (16-8, 6-6) hasn't won a road game against the Bruins or Southern California since 2004-05, going 0 for 13 in that stretch. The Cardinal visits the Trojans on Sunday.

Chasson Randle was the only Stanford player in double figures, with 16 points. The Cardinal committed 22 turnovers, leading to 28 points for UCLA, which had 15 steals and 11 blocked shots.

Stanford has lost two in a row and five of its last six while falling out of the league race after being tied for first in mid-January.

The Bruins scored their final nine points on free throws as Stanford fouled repeatedly.

STANFORD QUOTES
Head Coach Johnny Dawkins
General thoughts on the game...
"I give them credit. I thought their guards were quick on the ball and they got their hands on a lot of balls in the first half. They knocked it loose and they were quick to get them. They were able to knock them down a couple of times. I thought we had some uncharacteristic decision-making tonight as well."

On Stanford's shooting...
"I want to see us shoot better, that's for sure. That solves a lot of ills when the ball goes in the hoop for us. Unfortunately, we haven't shot as well as we would like. I think the guys are playing well in a lot of areas, but it doesn't always show when you don't shoot the ball well."

Looking ahead to the next six games...
"This is a big loss for us. A tough loss, but there is a lot of basketball left to be played. Every game is a big game, especially in the position we are in. We can't afford losses like this and we have to bounce back. We are still mathematically in the position to make a run to stay among the top four teams. We have to approach every game that way."

Freshman Chasson Randle
General thoughts on the game...
"We got off to a slow start. They were up by 16. They executed and got a bucket when they needed to. They did a great job at it. I think our zone really helped. We wanted to slow it down a bit."

Looking ahead to the next six games...
"We have to stay in the gym and keeping shooting. We've got to keep up our confidence and believe in each other. We really want to win and at this time, we have to take it one game at a time. We've got six games left."

UCLA QUOTES
Head coach Ben Howland
General thoughts on the game...
"That was a big win for us over a good team. Coach Dawkins has done a good job with that program. We built a nice lead, twice in the first half and both times, they grinded back into the game. Their zone bothered us and forced us into 19 turnovers. We were way too loose with the ball, which is uncharacteristic. We hit big shots down the stretch, particularly Jones and Lamb. We did a good job holding them under 40 percent shooting and although I was disappointed, we didn't make our free throws down the stretch. It was a good win for us overall."

Senior Jerime Anderson
General thoughts on the game...
"I think we showed a lot of poise. We're not friends with anyone when they come on the court. We just want to come out and play as physical as possible. Zeke [Jones] has been the most valuable player on the team. He's playing with a certain grit; he does a lot for our team and that's why he leads us."

Senior Lazeric Jones
General thoughts on the game...
"My turnovers hurt us, but the most important part was that we got the win. My teammates have been finding me. I've been patient and have been trying to make open shots. We were upset that we got that loss up there, but we saw the fans really wanted us to win it here."
