Final Stats

STANFORD, Calif. - No. 20 Stanford earned a big win at home, defeating New Hampshire, 15-13, on Sunday afternoon at Cagan Stadium. The tightly contested game never saw either team lead by more than three, but it was the Cardinal who made the plays in the end to earn the victory.

Stanford improved to 2-4 as it appears to be finding its stride after a difficult early season that included a demanding non-conference schedule.

"I think the team played hard and we are improving as we get ready for the conference season," said head coach Amy Bokker. "We want to be peaking as we head into MPSF play."

The Cardinal and Wildcats traded goals in the first half with Stanford eventually getting to the break with an 8-7 lead. Catherine Swanson got the scoring started for Stanford, but Kyle Fraser and Anna Boeri each had a pair of goals in the half.

Stanford dominated draw controls in the half, securing 12 of 16, and outshot New Hampshire, 15-12 in the half.

In the second half, the Boeri twins took over. Emilie Boeri scored two goals and added an assist, while Anna added a goal as both sisters ended with a hat trick. Kyle Fraser also added two more goals to give her a career-high four for the game.

Hannah Farr added two goals, while Annie Anton and Emily Newstrom also scored.

Swanson and Anna Boeri led Stanford with four draw controls apiece as the Cardinal controlled possession by winning 20 of 30 draws in the game.

Lyndsey Munoz was solid in net, making six saves, while Elizabeth Adam and Rachel Kalick each collected three ground balls.

The Cardinal will now have some time off for dead week and finals, before heading out on a five-game road trip. Stanford will next play on March 25 when it faces Brown in Providence, R.I.
