Busy Weekend Has Sailors 3rd and 5th in Boston, Leading Regatta in SoCal

NEW ENGLAND / LONG BEACH-- In a busy weekend across the nation, Stanford Sailing sent 20 sailors to four regattas, splashing into the Boston Harbor for two races, to Old Dominion for a three-boat team race, and to Southern California for the regional regatta in its first full weekend after finals.

The two most prestigious races are in Boston, where the No. 7-ranked Cardinal are tied for third at the 83rd Annual Boston Dinghy Challenge against 18 teams, and fifth among 18 teams at the Boston University Bridge Invite.

No. 1-ranked Yale leads the Boston Dinghy Challenge with 176 points, while Stanford and No. 13 Wisconsin are tied with 207 points for third place, trailing No. 7-ranked Brown (192) by 15 points over the first 10 races. http://www.odusports.com/sports/c-sail/spec-rel/szambecki-2012.html
