STANFORD, Calif.- Stanford's top duo of Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher has advanced to Sunday's semifinal round at the Pacific Coast Doubles Championships in La Jolla, Calif.
Klahn and Thacher are looking to defend their 2011 title and become the first pairing to win back-to-back championships at the event since Stanford standouts Jared Palmer and Jonathan Stark accomplished the feat in 1990-1991.
Klahn and Thacher reached the semifinals following Saturday's 6-4, 6-1 victory over California's Chase Melton and Ben McLachlan.
Sunday's semifinal contest (scheduled for approximately 10:30 a.m.) will pit Klahn and Thacher against Pepperdine's Sebastian Fanselow and Jenson Turner. The championship match would begin at 1 p.m.
