The next morning greeted us all with wonderful sunshine, and, after a good breakfast we piled onto the bus and headed into the mountains for a zipline canopy tour. Eleven Zipline's high in the trees in the midst of families of monkeys, and a whole host of other bugs and critters awaited us, and, although it isn't considered good to show your fear, it was quite apparent to the rest of the group I was completely petrified....
What amazed me most about the whole ziplining experience was not the sheer extent of my fear of heights, but, rather, the absolute inhibited nature of the guys. I mean, it was an ordeal for me to even go down a line in the regular fashion, and yet, here were the guys upside down, inside-out, back to front, and in all kinds of contorted positions. I hope you like the pictures--they really do capture what was an amazing team bonding experience.
The rest of the day was used as an opportunity to relax at the beach, and after five days continually on the go, having an afternoon to ourselves was received with open arms by all. After dinner that evening we arranged a soccer tennis tournament. With teams of three representing the freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and coaching staff, the scene was set to find the true kings of the court. After all was said and done, and when all the dust had settled, a winning team emerged. Now, in keeping with the overall interests of TEAM, and togetherness, I have decided not to reveal the identity of the winners.
On a separate note, Team Koberlein (Gunner, Gracyzk, Smith) are looking to start teaching a soccer tennis class on campus next quarter, so, if any of you boys want to find out the secrets, then I would advise you to sign up!!!
Needless to say, the day ended on a truly brilliant note.
