Cardinal Close Out Busy Sailing Weekend in Fourth in Connecticut

Stanford Sailing finished off the 15th Southern Northeast Team Race in fourth place after a 2-3 record in the top-six flight, while also finishing ninth at the Dellenbaugh Women's Race and ninth at the St. Francis Invite on the San Francisco Bay.

Stanford was also second at the Ferrone Team Race at Roger Williams going 14-6 behind winner Brown, which went 17-3

On the San Francisco Bay, Molly McKinney skippered the A Division to 109 points, finishing in the top-10 of the 32 teams in six of the nine races. Stanford combined for 222 points.

Stanford had opened up the team race in Connecticut in third place following an 8-3 record on Saturday as skippers Mateo Vargas, Kevin Laube and Haley Kirk beat Hobart and Boston College and lost to winner Yale, Roger Williams and College of Charleston.

At the Dellenbaugh women's invite, Sally Mace skippered the Cardinal to wins in the final two races for 86 points, while the B Division skippered by Eliza Richartz tallied 122 points. Stanford moved up three spots after day one.
