No. 11 Men's Tennis Falls At No. 6 UCLA, 6-1

LOS ANGELES- No. 11 Stanford dropped its second straight road match on Sunday afternoon, falling 6-1 at No. 6 UCLA to close out its SoCal road swing.

The Cardinal is now 14-7 overall and 4-2 in Pac-12 play, while the Bruins improve to 20-2 overall and 6-0 in conference action.

UCLA swept all three courts to claim the doubles point, taking a 1-0 lead.

The Bruins proceeded to win five singles matches in a row, officially securing the contest when Marcos Giron defeated John Morrissey 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 4 spot.

Stanford's lone point came from Bradley Klahn, who topped Clay Thompson 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 1 position.

The Cardinal suffered a 7-0 loss at No. 1 USC yesterday.

Sunday's match was originally scheduled for Friday, but postponed due to rain.

Two matches remain in the final week of the regular season. The Cardinal hosts Pacific on Wednesday, April 18, at 1:30 p.m. before visiting California two days later in a 3 p.m. tilt.
