HALF MOON BAY, Calif. -- - Stanford's women's golf team is tied for fourth place after two rounds of the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate being held at Half Moon Bay's Ocean Course.

The Cardinal shot rounds of 291 and 294 on Monday and its 585 total leaves Stanford tied with Washington, as both squads trail first place UCLA by 22 strokes after the Bruins blitzed the Ocean Course at 13-under on rounds of 280 and 283.

USC is in second at 577 while San Jose State is in third at 584.

Mariko Tumangan is tied for ninth after the freshman turned in rounds of 73 and 72, leaving her +1 for the first 36 holes. She is nine strokes behind UCLA's Erynne Lee who shot a pair of 68's to build a five stroke lead over teammate Tiffany Lua and Lisa McCloskey of USC.

Tumangan opened her afternoon round with eight straight pars and then moved to -1 with a birdie on the par-4 second hole. She made her only bogey of the afternoon on the par-4 fifth hole, her 11th of the day, but then rattled off seven straight parts to finish her round at even par.

Three Stanford golfers -- Sydney Burlison, Sally Watson and Marissa Mar -- are tied for 16th place at 147.

Burlison, who has been sideline for much of the year due to injury, shot an even par round of 72 in the afernoon after opening with a 75. She opened her second 18 with a birdie on the par-4 15th hole. After making her only bogey of the round on No. 2, Burlison finished her round with 12 straight pars.

Watson turned in rounds of 72 and 75 while Mar, coming off a third place finish at the PING/ASU Invitational, shot rounds of 72 and 75.

Junior Kristina Wong is tied for 39th at 150 (+6) after rounds of 74 and 76.

Final round play of the Pacific Intercollegiate gets underway at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Half Moon Bay.
