HALF MOON BAY, Calif. -- - Stanford turned in its low round of the season on Tuesday to secure a third place finish at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate at Half Moon Bay.

The Cardinal shot a five-under round of 283 and finished at 868 (+4) for the 54-hole event, 19 strokes behind team champion UCLA, which won the event with a score of 849 (-15).

USC finished second, six strokes behind the Bruins, followed by Stanford, Arizona (869) and Washington (871).

Four Stanford golfers managed par or better on the Ocean Course on the final day, paced by Kristina Wong's three-under 69.

Mariko Tumangan shot a closing round 71 to tie for 10th at even par 216, nine strokes behind medalist Erynnee Lee of UCLA (207; -9). Lisa McCloskey of USC was three strokes back at 210.

Tumangan was two over after seven holes but played her last 11 holes three-under, picking up birdies on 12, 13, 16 and 18.

Marissa Mar was also one under on her round today and tied for 17th at 218 (+2). Mar had 17 pars on her card and picked up her lone birdie on the par-5 fourth hole.

Sally Watson tied for 22nd after a closing round 72 left her at 219 (+3) for the tournament.

Wong turned in the team's low round of the day, closing with a three-under 69 to earn a tie for 22nd place at 219 (+3). Wong set the tone for her round with an opening birdie on the par-3 seventh hole and made back-to-back birdies on 15 and 16. She collected her last birdie of the day on the par-5 fourth hole, her 16th of the day.

Sydney Burlison slipped back into a tie for 45th place after closing with a 77.
