WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Stanford had a pair of athletes take home Pac-12 Athlete of the Week Honors this week after sweeping the Big Meet. Tyler Stutzman was named Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while Brianna Bain was honored as Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

Stanford earned a pair of convincing wins over California at the Big Meet, sweeping the Golden Bears for the second-consecutive season.

Stutzman won both the 800 and 1,500 meters at the Big Meet, helping the Cardinal to a convincing dual-meet victory over Bay Area-rival California. Stutzman posted a time of 1:50.50 to win the 800-meter race and won the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:48.64.

Bain won the javelin at the Big Meet tossing 171-2 (52.17) to help the Cardinal post a big win over Cal. Bain's throw ranks fifth in the nation this season and is the third-best in Stanford history.

It was the first career Pac-12 honors for both Stutzman and Bain. The Cardinal will compete at the Mt. SAC Relays and the Triton Invitational this weekend.
